Stylist Joe McKenna, recently published online a 25 minutes documentary film about Azzedine Alaïa to celebrate the designer who has managed to subvert the rhythms of the fashion system. Images of the maestro – known for its thoroughness and sartorial craftsmanship – at work in his studio, rare footage of the first prêt-à-porter in Paris and some private life moments. Naomi Campbell, Grace Coddington, Nicolas Guesquiere and Suzy Menkes among the others take turns to tell the designer’s genius.
